Lightning Experience Help Text does not accept line breaks

Description

When drafting help text, line breaks are not accepted in Lightning Experience and are ignored.

Resolution

Tool tips or field-level help were designed to only display plain text in Lightning Experience.

This is to support the use case and best practice of showing simple helpful information about the field. As such, advanced text features like line breaks are not possible.
