When a Salesforce object is enabled for replication, you can configure its replication settings to disable fields that you don’t want to replicate, add a filter to only replicate specific data, or disable replication for an object. You do all this through the data manager.
|Available in Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience.|
|Available for an extra cost in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions. Also available in Developer Edition.|
|To configure replication settings:||“Edit Wave Analytics Dataflows”|
To configure replication settings, perform the following steps.
In Wave Analytics, click the gear icon () and then click Data Manager to open the data manager.
In the data manager, click the Replication tab.
The Replication tab displays a list of Salesforce objects enabled for replication.
Click an object to open its replication settings.
A preview of the replicated data appears.
To disable a field for replication, hover over the field’s column header and click the cross that appears.
If you disable replication for a field that’s used in a dataflow, the dataflow fails. Make sure that the field is not in use before you proceed. Note that you can’t disable replication for an object’s Id field.
To filter the data that’s replicated, click .
Enter a filter using a Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) WHERE clause expression. For example:
RecordType = 'B2B' AND Status = 'Open'
Your preview data does not reflect any filter you add. Filters are only applied when you save the replication settings.
Click Save to save the replication settings.
If you disable replication for a field, you cannot enable it again through the replication settings. You can re-enable a field by adding it to the sfdcDigest node in your dataflow. See Add Objects and Fields to Replication
