Cloning an opportunity quickly creates an opportunity with the same information as the existing on. Before you clone Salesforce opportunities, make sure you’re familiar with these considerations.

- If you have read-only access to a field, the value of that field isn’t included in the cloned opportunity.
- If the opportunity has an associated opportunity team, the team isn’t included in the cloned opportunity..
- If the opportunity has any associated products that contain unique custom fields, ydelete the values in the custom fields before cloning the opportunity.
- If the clone button isn’t visible, you might not have permission to create opportunities, or your Salesforce admin might have removed it from the page layout. Ask your Salesforce admin for help.
If you have read-only access to a field, the value of that field is not carried over to the cloned record.
