Why can a user with the proper library permissions not edit content?

A user who has the "Add Content" Library/Workspace permission cannot edit some of the files in that library.


This can be due to the content file being "managed" by another library and only shared to the one the user is accessing it from, the user will need the "Add Content" permission in the managing library to be able to make changes.  You can determine what library is managing a file by accessing the Content file with a user with edit rights, going to "Library Actions" and choosing the "Share with Another Library" option.  The Managing library will be listed at the top of the new window.
