New Page Layout is missing fields

Description

We created a new page layout, assigned it to a profile, logged in as user and some of the fields are missing

Resolution

Check the field accessibility for the profile assigned to the user.

If Enhanced User Profile interface is enabled

Setup | Manage Users | Users

1. Click name of User
2. Click Profile.
3. Under Apps
4. Select Object Settings > Click (object)
5. Click Edit and check Read box for the field they need to see
6. Save

**Please keep in mind the changes will effect all users assigned to the profile.
