Why can't I place calls from a Contact record using Salesforce Classic app any more?

Resolution

This is applicable only for the Salesforce Classic app:

The Task object should be mobilized on the mobile device. Typically, the user would see the TASK tab displayed within the mobile client. There should also be a menu item called LOG A CALL available when viewing a Lead or Contact, Account or Opportunity (minimum)

 

iPhone considerations

**  From a Contact record i.e. the Log a Call button should be available (top of record)


***You will not see call or log on tablets as they are not considered phone devices
