Description How can I change the owner or status of multiple Leads at once?
Resolution In the Professional and Group Editions, you must be a System Administrator to perform the actions listed below.

In the Enterprise and Unlimited Edition, you must have the Transfer Leads or Manage Leads permissions (to allow mass changing of ownership and status, respectively).

Check with your System Administrator if you do not have the appropriate access.

To change Lead owner for multiple records:
     
    • From the Leads tab select one of the available Lead views
    • Place a checkmark in the checkbox next to all Leads you would like to assign to a new owner.
    • Click the "Change Owner" button located above the list view.
    • Select a user or a queue as the new owner.

    To change Lead status for multiple records:
       
      • From the Leads tab select one of the available Lead views.
      • Place a checkmark in the checkbox next to all Leads you would like to assign to a new status.
      • Click the "Change Status" button located above the list view.
      • Select a new status for the Leads.

      Changing a Lead's status to a closed status will not convert the Lead. You still need to convert each Lead individually.

      Alternative you can use Mass Transfer Leads -  

      "Mass Transfer Records" option under Setup | Data Management | Mass Transfer Records
