Post a newer version of a Content file
|Knowledge Article Number||000005492|
If I have a Content document named A and I upload a newer version of that file to replace it, but it's named B, is it expected behavior that the updated version has the A name rather than the B name?
Yes. When updating a Content document with a newer version, you have the option to change the document name. You can change the document name so it matches the name of the new file being uploaded, insert a name that is different than the existing name or the name of the file being uploaded (not a recommended practice, or leave the document name as is. If left as is, once the upload is complete, the Content document will retain the name used prior to the update activity.
