Salesforce Classic locked due to previous incorrect password

Knowledge Article Number 000005669

If the Classic server tries to connect to the Salesforce server for a particular user and has the connection rejected due to an invalid password, the Classic account will be locked to prevent the Classic server from attempting to login three times with an incorrect password which would lock the entire Salesforce account.

Once the Classic account is locked, the Classic server will need to receive a Change Password request from the user's device in order to unlock the account (handled in the same manner as a standard Invalid Password error)

Note: If there has been a successful connection made after this error appears, then it can be assumed that the password issue has been cleared up.
