|Description||What to do if I get Mail Merge SFCOM error: cannot create http object?|
|Resolution||If you encounter an SFCOM error with a message of "cannot create http object" when attempting to use the Mail Merge functionality, please follow the instructions below:
1. Run the attached Setup file.
A required file to use this functionality may not have installed properly. This is usually caused by your computer network or browser security settings. The Setup file will install the file required to use this feature.
2. If the instruction above does not resolve the issue, you will need to clear the temporary files on your computer. This can be done manually by deleting all files in the C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Local Settings\Temp folder or by running the Disk Cleanup wizard in Windows. It is strongly advised that you enlist the help of your IT staff for this step.
3. Check your browser setting. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools | Options. In the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Security section. Make sure that the Do Not Save Encrypted Pages to Disk option is de-selected. Click "OK".
