Radian6 user roles defined

Knowledge Article Number 000041383
Your user role defines your level of access to Radian6 products (Analysis Dashboard, Engagement Console, Summary Dashboard, and Social Hub). By configuring user roles, you can deploy Radian6 across varying levels of responsibility within your company, define strategic user roles for those managing social media monitoring, and enable more efficient assessment and control of what’s being monitored.

The following chart details what each user role can access in Radian6. For Social Studio user roles, see Roles and Permissions in Social Studio: User Roles.

Role name

Super User

The Super User Role is an administrative role for your Radian6 organization.  Super Users can access a menu option only visible to them within the Analysis Dashboard, which contains user and Topic Profile details. It is contained under Configuration | Client Details

Full User

Full users have create and edit access in Radian6, but don't have administrative access such as managing workspaces in Engagement Console and managing users.

Full Users can:

Application User

Application users can access products outside of the Analysis Dashboard. This user role is perfect for larger organizations that want their employees listening or possibly engaging.
Application Users can:

Dashboard User

A Dashboard user can modify widgets and have full control over their dashboard, but they cannot create new Topic Profiles or edit Topic Profiles that they own.

 Dashboard Only users can:

Read Only

Anyone designated as a Read-Only User only has access to pre-defined dashboards and can't edit or create Topic Profiles and widgets.

For example, you can set up high-level executives with these accounts and have your social media manager move/copy dashboards and widgets to them. At that point, they can log in and have easy, real-time reports ready for them.

Read-Only Users can:

This role does not impact the user's limitations within the Engagement Console as the Engagement Console uses its own privileges and settings. Therefore, the read-only user can create stacks in the Engagement Console if they are not assigned a workspace and set up with certain permissions.

The requisitioner role is great if you want to control who on your team can purchase Topic Profiles. This feature is especially great if you need topic profile purchases to be approved by one specific person in your organization.

A Requisitioner User can:

If you are a requisitioner, you will get a message advising that a purchase request is sent for approval when you try to create and activate a Topic Profile. The email address listed on your account is sent a notification email that a Topic Profile was requested to be created or activated.  Note: The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Support Team can add the approver's email address for this feature.
