Salesforce for Outlook sync fails with an error- Sync folders missing

Description

Issue:

Outlook sync process fails with a pop-up at the bottom right corner of the screen, stating that
 
"You have one or more Outlook sync folders missing. If the location of your sync folders changed, select the folders in Salesforce for Outlook Settings."

Possible Causes:

1- Outlook is running as administrator
2- Salesforce for Outlook is running as administrator (refer to the image below)
3- Salesforce for Outlook is running in 'Compatibility Mode'
(refer to the image below)

4- You have more than one Outlook profile.
5- The default folder is not accessible.
