Resolution

1) Uninstall Connect Offline
 

  • Windows XP users

Click on Start | Settings | Control panel and double click on ‘Add/Remove Programs’

  • In Windows Vista/7 users

Click on Start | Control panel and depending on the view, you need to click on ‘Programs and Features’ or click on ‘Uninstall a Program’ under the ‘Programs’ section
 

2. Navigate to the following location and delete: Offline2, SForceDB, Office Toolkit and SForceConflict

  • In Windows XP:          

C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\salesforce.com
 

  • In Windows Vista & 7:

C:\Users\%username%\Appdata\Roaming\salesforce.com\


Note: Make sure that the below steps are performed by local system administrator (IT Person)

3. Next, navigate:

  • For Windows XP: 

Click on Start ➤ Run ➤ type in Regedit and press the Enter key on your keyboard

  • For Windows vista/7

Click on Start and type in Regedit in the Search box and press the Enter key on your keyboard


4. In the "Windows Registry Editor" navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Salesforce.com and delete the "Offline2" Key.
