Unable to find Campaign record when searching via lookup field

Description When relating a record with a campaign by searching for the campaign name in a lookup field's search dialog, users may notice or report that the campaign is not showing up in the search results despite the search term and the name of the campaign being an exact match.
Resolution For a campaign to show up in lookup search results, the Active field must be checked (or set to true) on the record. Ensure that any campaigns the need to be associated to other records have this field checked so that they are included in campaign lookup search results.

Please note that you may be able to add Inactive Campaigns in Lightning Experience (but not in Salesforce Classic).
