Partner Community User unable to login gets error- URL no longer exists

|Description||Error message, "URL no longer exists" when partner community user tries to login to salesforce.
This error is generally caused if you select "Use Site.com to create custom community pages" tab under Tabs & Pages. If you choose Use Site.com to create custom community pages, the first page customers see is the Home Page selected in the Site Configuration for your community Site.com site. However if there's no sites created for community site.com it will throw a URL no longer exists error while logging in to salesforce.
|Resolution||In order to resolve the issue the following steps need to be taken
These changes ensure that there is a Home Page where the user gets directed to.
After the changes the issue should be fixed
