DRO Feature Retirement - FAQs

Knowledge Article Number 000193853
Description

DRO feature to be retired with the Summer ‘15 release

As an administrator of a Salesforce org, we want to remind you of an important change to the availability and support of the Data Residency Option (DRO) solution, which your organization has used.

Resolution
What is changing?

We will retire the DRO solution on August 15, 2015, 60 days after the Summer ‘15 release. After that date, we will no longer be supporting new installations and Support will make a best effort to assist on Sev-1 DRO cases during business days Monday - Friday. While you can continue to use the DRO solution, we cannot guarantee it will be compatible with future Salesforce releases.

What do we recommend?

We understand that this retirement may cause some disruption and we are here to help. Prior to the Summer ‘15 release, we encourage you to evaluate the options offered by Salesforce or the AppExchange and to migrate off of the DRO solution. If your contract date surpasses August 15, 2015, please reach out to your Account Executive.

How can I get more information?

Please contact your account manager with any questions you may have about this change.
