Errors while uninstalling Managed packages

Description Some times when you uninstall a package and it gives you an error related to Component Type (Button or Link, Visualforce Page, Custom Field, Custom Object, Folder,Permission Sets, Package, Apex Class).


Getting errors while uninstalling Managed packages

 
 
Resolution

Some times when you uninstall a package and it gives you an error related to Component Type (Button or Link, Visualforce Page, Custom Field, Custom Object, Folder, Permission Sets Package, Apex Class). In order to remove all these errors manually please follow the process below.
 
Visualforce Page:-
  • Click on the Name (Do a right click and open it in a new tab to keep on working without repeating the complete process of uninstalling package :-))

  • Click on Where it is used? button  .
     
  • Click the Reference label to view the definition. It will take you to the layout.
  • Remove all the Visual pages added by the Package.
  • Save the changes on the layout.

Folder:-
  • Click on the Name (Do a right click and open it in a new tab to keep on working without repeating the complete process of uninstalling package :-) )
  • It will take you to the Reports & Dashboards page.
     
  • Click on the drop down arrow for the folders created by the package .      .User-added image
  • Delete all the folders created by the package.(It may ask you to delete the Reports, remove them from the recycle bin also).
 
Button or Link:-
 
  • Click on the Name (Do a right click and open it in a new tab to keep on working without repeating the complete process of uninstalling package :-) )
  • Click on Where it is used? button.
  • Click the Reference label to view the definition. It will take you to the layout.
  • Remove the Buttons or Links created by the package.
  • Save the changes on the layout.
After doing all the above suggested steps try and uninstall it again. If it still gives error that you can't manually remove then please contact salesforce support by opening a case with us.
