How is the "Average Cost Per Response" field in the "Campaign ROI Analysis" report calculated?

Knowledge Article Number 000199218
Description How is the "Average Cost Per Response" field calculated?
The "Average Cost per Response" field calculated within the standard Campaign ROI Analysis Report is done as follows:
Average Cost per Response = Actual Cost / Total Responses
  • The "Actual Cost" is the amount of money spent on the particular campaign.
  • The Total Responses is a read only field in Campaign that calculates the total number of contacts and unconverted leads that have a Member Status equivalent to “Responded” for the campaign.
So if the "Actual Cost" is $2000 and Total Responses is 200. Then Average Cost per response = 2000/200 = $10 per response. Higher the response then lower the cost becomes.
