I am trying to install an app from AppExchange but it is failing with a generic error message
|Knowledge Article Number||000199219|
Here are some error messages while trying to install a package from AppExchange:
1. You might receive an Internal Server Error when installing package from AppExchange Salesforce Error ID: 2011510530-25027 (-446870763) or sometimes installation is taking too long to complete.
2. "This app can't be installed. There are problems that prevent this package from being installed" even though I have the permission to install an apps. It doesn't give any further reasons for failure.
This issue might have something to do with the installation link not redirecting the package installation process to customer's instance.
To resolve the issue we need to get the All Package Version ID and append it to the installation link.
https:// + (Instance) + salesforce.com + /packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0= + Package ID
https:// + (MyDomainPrefix) + my.salesforce.com + /packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0= + Package ID
e.g https://na11.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04t50000000EbsfAAC or https://domain.my.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04t50000000EbsfAAC
NOTE: To obtain the All Package Version ID you might need to install the package to another organization(Sandbox or Developer org) and an email will be sent to you with the success or error info including the package ID. The ID may also be contained in the URL of the error page for the package installation.
