Why can't I find the Tag Manager permission in my Profiles?

"Tag Manager" permission is needed to manage (i.e. rename and delete) tags.More details here: Browsing, Searching, and Managing Tags
|Resolution||Please navigate to Setup - Customize - Tags - Tag Settings
Once there, please confirm if you can see both "Enable Personal Tags" and "Enable Public Tags" as per the following screenshot:
If you do not see the "Enable Public Tags" section you also won't find the "Tag Manager" Profile permission.
In that case, please create a case for salesforce.com support to enable Public Tags for you. Once this is done you will have the "Tag Manager" permission.
