Email Alert's FROM email address is different from the current user's email address

I have a workflow that has an email alert configured to send the email alert. I have configured to From Email Address as Current User's email address, however when a particular user triggers the workflow and the email alert, the email's FROM address is a completely different user.
The FROM email address is determined by the Email Address under My Email Settings. Have the affected user go to their Personal Settings/Setup | Email | My Email Settings | Email Address
Make sure the Email Address is the correct email address for this user.
