Why can't I see related fields even though I added them to the report type?

Description You can add fields related via lookup to a custom report type.

Using the Lookup Field as a Filter or a Formula field which referencing a Field from the Lookup Object ,than no records will be displayed, if the affected user does not have access to the lookup objects records, if the filter has multiple values, and one is meeting the criteria, then only records the user has access to , will be displayed.

Removing the Filter user will be able to see all the Lookup field values and the Objects records the Lookup Field is created on, they will not be able to see any fields added via this lookup when creating, customizing or viewing a report.
Resolution Grant at least visibility using Field Level Security on the actual lookup field to affected Profiles.
