How to check who created the report or dashboard folder?

Description

To identify the users who created a report or dashboard folder that has reports or dashboards can be done through report.

Resolution

A. Build a custom report type with the primary object as Reports.
  1. Navigate to Setup | Create | Report Types | New Custom Report Type
  2. Select "Reports" as your primary object
  3. Add your Report Type Label and Name, a description, the category to store the report in, and decide if the Report Type should be deployed or not. Click "Next."
  4. Click "Save".
  5. Edit Layout
  6. Click the link "Add fields related via lookup" and click on "Folder"
  7. Click Select All and hit OK button.
  8. Click "Save".
B. Build a custom report type with the primary object as Dashboards.
  1. Navigate to Setup | Create | Report Types | New Custom Report Type
  2. Select "Dashboards" as your primary object
  3. Add your Report Type Label and Name, a description, the category to store the report in, and decide if the Report Type should be deployed or not. Click "Next."
  4. Click "Save".
  5. Edit Layout
  6. Click the link "Add fields related via lookup" and click on "Folder"
  7. Click the link "Select All" and hit OK button.
  8. Click "Save".

Using these report types you will be able to create a report that will display the user who created the report folder.
