Why am I getting notification that I have reached the limit for “Maximum number of web-to-case and web-to-lead requests within 24 hours”, even after increasing W2L limit and preventing certain Leads.

Description Sometimes you may get a notification that you have reached the maximum number of web to lead limit within 24 hours, even when you have already got this limit increased and also when you have prevented creation of certain leads with the help of Validation or Triggers.
Resolution This notification is sent because the prevented leads are also counted against “Maximum number of web-to-case and web-to-lead requests within 24 hours” limit. In order to check this limit, please contact Salesforce Support. They can help you determine the current utilization of this limit in the Org.
 
Note: This is not counted against “Daily Lead Limit”
