If you have SFO Version 2.4.2 or earlier, you need to have administrator privileges on your computer to uninstall it. It's always best to reach out to your internal HELP Desk (Someone with Local admin privileges) to uninstall the application first. They need to log you off (log off the end user who is trying to upgrade SFO completely) login with their credentials (local Admin) and then uninstall SFO from the Control Panel and then log off. End user logins and installs SFO 2.5 ~ 2.7 or SFO 2.8 (Me Only) option
If you have SFO version 2.5.0 or newer, you can simply run the new SFO 2.5 ~ 2.8 setup downloaded file (.exe) and the setup will prompt you to upgrade the application. It must be installed by the actual user, not a system or admin account. If you plan on installing the SFO 2.8 for everyone, end user must login first and uninstall then Local administrator can install the application for everyone.
