Spring '15 Priority Field Added to Territory Type Record

Knowledge Article Number 000211766
Description The Territory Type record includes a new field, Priority, which helps you choose the appropriate territory type for territories you create or edit.

The field is also exposed on the Territory2Type object in the SOAP API (version 33) and the Territory2Type metadata type in the Metadata API (version 33).
Resolution Territory types help you organize your territories by key characteristics important to your company.
Every territory you create must have a territory type. Territory types are used for organizing and creating territories only: they do not appear on territory model hierarchies.

For example, you might create a territory type called Universal Telco Named Accounts,
then from that type, create territories that include named accounts. Or you might create a territory type called US Geographic, and from that type create territories based on states or regions. Territory type requires only a label and a description, so the values in those fields should clearly indicate what kinds of territories should belong to that type.
