"File not found" error in Automation Studio

Marketing Cloud uses a temporary storage site to process files transferring in and out of the application. This temporary storage site stores one file per FTP account at a time. The file is immediately deleted from the temporary storage site after processing is complete. Therefore, placing a Data Extract and File Transfer upload activity in the same step results in a "File not found" message.
To resolve the "File not found" error, place Data Extract activities and File Transfer activities in unique steps in an Automation or Program. Place the Data Extract activity that creates the file in the first step, followed immediately by the File Transfer upload activity in the second step.
