Learn why Contacts display the CurrentlyWaitingInSameInteraction status in Contact History in Journey Builder Interactions
Resolution

When an Interaction is created, it's defaulted to a single entry mode. This means that a Contact can only exist in an Interaction at one point. The Contact may re-enter the Interaction once it has exited, but cannot exist in the same Interaction more than once.

Once an Interaction has been activated as Single Entry, it's not possible to modify it to accept multiple entries.  If you wish to do so, copy the existing Interaction, then set the new version to Multiple Entries. To copy an Interaction, click the copy icon in the top right corner of the Interaction screen.
