"We are sorry, but Salesforce is currently not accepting calls to confirm and retrieve your Salesforce Org ID" in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connector

Description
When your Salesforce account is not configured to accept inbound API requests from Marketing Cloud, you will receive the message "We are sorry, but Salesforce is currently not accepting calls to confirm and retrieve your Salesforce Org ID. Please try again. If the problem continues, please contact your customer support representative"  when you attempt to integrate a Marketing Cloud User.
Resolution

To successfully integrate the Marketing Cloud User, please do the following:
 
  • Ensure that you've added the trusted IP ranges in Salesforce.
  • Depending on your security levels, accounts may have IP restrictions for logging in which must be added. For the IP ranges and steps to add them to Salesforce, follow the instructions in Updating Trusted IP Ranges in SalesforceOnce you do this, you'll be able to retrieve the Salesforce Org ID.
  • In Salesforce, you can also see the IP address login history to determine which IP address is trying to connect through the API by going to Setup | Administration Setup | Manage Users | Login History.
