Why can't I assign the "Company Community for Force.com" permission set license to a Company Community - licensed user?

|Description||Sometimes admin having the "Company Community for Force.com" permission set license provisioned in the org but will not be able to allocate it to Company Community users
Error message seen is "[...] can't be assigned the Company Community for Force.com permission set license, because [...] user license doesn't support it."
Requirement is to have these user access Cases and view Knowledge Articles.
|Resolution||This reason for the error is, the Company Community for force.com permission set license is not compatible with Company Communities licenses
It can only be used for Force.com Platform licenses (ie. Force.com - One App who in itself doesn't have access to Cases).
For addressing the need to access Cases and Knowledge for the Company Community user, it can be achieved by cloning the standard profile assigned to it and from there provide Read access to "Cases", "Article Types", and "Allow View Knowledge" permission.
