"User is not active" message shows in Marketing Cloud A/B Testing

When you're working with a multi-tier account (example Agency or Enterprise 1.0), impersonating a user that is locked or requiring a password reset results in the inability to access A/B Testing in Marketing Cloud. When you click the A/B Testing tab, a "User is not active" message is displayed.

Resolve the message

1. Log in to Marketing Cloud.
2. In "Email," click Admin.
3. Click My Users.
4. Click the user account where the error is presented. 
5. Click Edit.

-If the user record shows Locked, click Unlock.
-If the user record is not locked, notify the user that they need to reset their password by going to and clicking "Forgot Your Password?"
