Knowledge Article Number 000213603

The Shared Templates folder and any subfolders to which the Distributed Sending Business Unit has permission to view will be visible within the Template Categories section when creating an email. The My Templates folder for each Business Unit is not visible within Distributed Sending.

If you're an Administrator and you want to restrict access to templates by business unit, you can remove permissions for any subfolders created under Shared Templates by business unit.  Follow the steps below to create a new folder and to adjust permissions by Business Unit.

Note: You must have access to the Email application to make these changes.

Manage permissions

1. In Email, go to Content | Shared Items | Shared Templates.
2. Right-click Shared Templates, and then click New Folder.
3. Enter a name for the new folder.
4. Right-click the new folder and select PermissionsYou'll see that all Business Units are granted full access by default.
5. Select the checkbox next to any Business Units for which you wish to remove or restrict access.
6. Click Edit Permissions.
