Portal Search boxes are not available in communities

Description Portal users in the partner and customer portal were provided with search boxes for the following objects because they did not have access to the global search like standard users:

When setting up communities these boxes are not visible to portal users if they are added as home page components.
Resolution These options are not visible because when logged into the community the portal users have access to the global search which allows them to search these objects like standard Salesforce users.
