Knowledge Article Number 000213638
Description How do I remove the the underscore rendering between my Facebook, Twitter, and other Social Forward Icons?

Resolution The underscore displayed following the first social icon is actually the underline of the <a href> tag used to identify a hyperlink. To remove the underline but keep the hyperlink, the <a href> tag can be styled to remove the hyperlink.

1. In the Email Editor, select the Content Area where the icons reside.
2. Click HTML view.
3. Find the <a href> tag that contains your icons.

Example:

<a href="%%=GetSocialPublishURLByName('Facebook','US','Shared content region 1')=%%"
            alias="Social Forward to Facebook"
            title="Publish to Facebook">
            <img
                src="http://image.exct.net/lib/ffcf14/m/1/social_default_facebook_icon.jpg"
                alt="Facebook"
                title="Facebook"
                border="0">
</a>
<a href="%%=GetSocialPublishURLByName('Twitter','US','Shared content region 1')=%%"
            alias="Social Forward to Facebook"
            title="Publish to Facebook">
            <img
                src="http://image.exct.net/lib/ffcf14/m/1/social_default_twitter_icon.jpg"
                alt="Facebook"
                title="Facebook"
                border="0">
</a>

4. Before the ending angle bracket of the opening <a href> tag, enter style="text-decoration:none;".

Example:

<a href="%%=GetSocialPublishURLByName('Facebook','US','Shared content region 1')=%%"
            alias="Social Forward to Facebook"
            title="Publish to Facebook"
            style="text-decoration:none;">
            <img
                src="http://image.exct.net/lib/ffcf14/m/1/social_default_facebook_icon.jpg"
                alt="Facebook"
                title="Facebook"

                alt="Facebook"
                title="Facebook"
