Description How to run a Goals status report?
Resolution In order to create a report that displays all Goals and their status, you would need to create a custom report type first by following the steps below:
  1. Navigate to Setup | Build | Create | Report Types
  2. Click Continue
  3. Click on the New Custom Report Type button
  4. Fill in the following information:
  • Primary Object Users
  • Report Type label (e.g. 'Goal Status')
  • Report Type Name
  • Description
  • Store in Category
  • Deployment Status Deployed
        5. Click Next
        6. Click to relate another object
        7. Select Goals (Owner Name) from the drop down menu
        8. Click on the "A" records may or may not have related "B" records radio button
        9. Click Save
        10. Under Fields Available for Reports section, click on the Edit Layout
        11. On the right hand side under View, select Goals (Owner name) Fields from the drop down menu
        12. Drag and drop the Owner Name and GOAL STATUS to the Goals (Owner Name) section in the middle
        13. Click Save

Once the customer report type is created, follow the steps below to create the report.
  1. Navigate to the Reports tab
  2. Click on New Report... button
  3. Search for the name of the newly created custom report type and click on it (e.g. 'Goal Status')
  4. Click on the Create button
  5. Select Show All Users
  6. Choose Date Field: Created Date under Goals (Owner Name) and Range: All Time
  7. Click on the Add button, right next to Filters and select the following criteria:
    Goal Type equals "Goal, Objective"
  8. Add Goal Status, Progress, Manager: Full Name fields and/or any additional field to the Preview section
  9. Optional - Group the report by Full Name
  10. Save and Run the Report
