"All field" Option is missing from the lookup search

Description This article will explain you on how to proceed with lookup search with field values other than the Record name.

Resolution The "All fields" dialogue box is disabled because the "Enhanced Lookups" is not enabled for the particular object. To Enable the Enhanced lookup please follow the steps below:
  1. From Setup, click Customize | Search | Search Settings.
  2. In the Lookup Settings area, select the objects for which you want to enable enhanced lookup functionality. Currently, only account, contact, user, and custom object lookups can use this feature.
  3. Click Save
