No active Assignment Rule when saving a Lead

Description
If you receive the error message, "Error: Invalid Data. Review all error messages below to correct your data. There is no active assignment rule," there is a fix. 

First, verify that upon creating a Lead, the check-box to use an Assignment rule wasn't set. If you don't have this box on the Page Layout, the error will show on top of the page, otherwise, next to the checkbox. Once you've verified this box is indeed checked, follow the steps below to turn off "Lead Assignment." 
Resolution  

Set the Lead Assignment Checkbox to "default off"

 
1. Go to Setup | Build | Customize | Leads | Page Layout. (If you have only one Page Layout, it will open right away, otherwise choose one of the Page Layouts to edit.)
2. In the Page Layout Editor, on top, click Layout Properties.
3, Uncheck the box for "Default," and then click Ok
4. 
If you have multiple Page Layouts, do a Quick Save, and repeat above steps for the next Page Layout, from the drop-down list in the upper-left corner. 
5. If you only have one, or are at the last, click Save.
