Description Why did I receive "You have requested to change your salesforce.com email address" email for username with @appexchange.com?  

For example:

From: support@salesforce.com [mailto:support@salesforce.com] 
Sent: Tuesday, June 29, 2015 11:25 AM 
To: John Smith 
Subject: You have requested to change your salesforce.com email address. 
Importance: High 

Dear John Smith, 

IMPORTANT: This mail is being sent to you as a result of changes you made to your Salesforce user account. If you did not request this change, please contact your admin or salesforce.com support immediately. 

A request was made to change your salesforce.com email address. This email is being sent to the previous email address of the user as a notification. 
User name: 1238710186581_00530000000ptm1@appexchange.com 

Previous email address: john.smith@company.com 

New email address: jsmith@company.com 
Resolution @appexchange.com username is success.salesforce.com username that's tied to user's production / Developer Edition org username.  You would receive "You have requested to change your salesforce.com email address" email if you update the following:

1.  Log into https://success.salesforce.com
2.  Upper right hand corner, select “My Profile”
3.  Click on “Edit My Profile”
4.  In contact section, click on pencil icon
5.  Click on “Contact” tab
6.  Edit email address

To confirm your new email address, please click on link found in email.
