|Description||When clicking an email address in Salesforce page, the default email client is Microsoft Outlook which normally opens as expected to compose an email. However, it may not load Microsoft Outlook and show the error message below

In case MAILTO is not available in Associate a File Type or Protocol with a program screen, you may not have any valid mail client installed, such as MS Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.
