Community Users unable to reset password despite using the password reset link

Knowledge Article Number 000228386
If the Community User's language is set to right-to-left (RTL), like Hebrew or Arabic, then they will receive the following error while trying to reset the password: "Your Login Attempt has failed. Make Sure the username and password are correct." This is because in RTL languages, Community is not fully supported by Salesforce.

The click-path used in these instances is:

Setup | Administer | Manage Users | Users | Community User | Reset Password.

First, please refer to the end user languages supported document for additional details.

Temporarily change the language to reset the password

Have your System Administrator change the language of the User record:

1. Go to Setup | Administer | Manage Users | Users
2. Click Community User.
3. Click Edit
4. Change the language to English.
5. Click Save.

Now the password for the Community User can be reset by the Administrator using these steps:

1. Go to Setup | Administer | Manage Users | Users.
2. Click Community User
3. Reset Password, and then Save.

Good to know: The Community User can also use the "Forgot Password?" link on the Community login page.

Once user issue is resolved, the language can be set back to the original language.
