New Partner Community Enhancements for September 2015
|Knowledge Article Number||000229011|
|Description||As of Friday September 4, 2015 we've released some exciting new features to the Partner Community, used by Salesforce ISV, Reseller and SI Partners. We're sure they will improve your day-to-day experience with Cases, Projects and Chatter Groups.
First, we’re completely overhauling the case submission experience in the Support tab. We're adding functionality to make it easier to find the case you want and get resolution quicker through a new and improved UI.
Were also going to feature Chatter Groups in the community in a new Featured Groups tab. This will help users find the most important groups in the community very quickly and help drive group membership.
Lastly, we've made enhancements to Projects so you can provide more granular details about your customer implementations. This will help you to track certain specialty areas and industries to achieve credits through the consulting partner program [http://p.force.com/programchanges].
New Partner Case Overview: See all of your case options on one page to easily find the support case that you need. New hover functionality will allow you to see case descriptions and related materials before making a selection.
Search on Known Issues & Questions: Upon selection of a partner case topic, new functionality initiates a real time search on known issues and questions to ensure you have all the relevant and up-to-date info before creating a support case.
Ability to Add Multiple Emails for Case Comments: If multiple people in your organization need visibility on a specific support case, simply add their email address to your case details after case submission. Any case comments from Salesforce support will generate an email to each individual who has been added.
Featured Groups and Group Landing Pages: The new Featured Groups section will highlight Partner Community Chatter Groups that are important and relevant to partners. Unauthenticated group landing pages (no login required) will highlight group leaders, recent conversations, and details about the group before you join!
Track Specialties and Industries with Projects: Now consulting partners can track a given industry and specific competencies for customer implementations. This will allow you to earn credit towards achieving specializations in a given cloud or industry through the Salesforce Masters program.
Look for these great change on September 5th and please ask any questions in the Q&A Chatter Group (requires login).
