Inbound change set fails to validate or fails to deploy with error “In field: excludeButtons, no such standard action:DataDotComCompanyHierarchy” / SendEmail

Description From Summer 15 org to Winter 16 org, inbound change set fails to validate or fails to deploy with error “In field: excludeButtons, no such standard action:DataDotComCompanyHierarchy”.  The error is typically caused by a custom Account Layout and can be replicated with the following steps:

1. In source sandbox, clone “Account Layout”.

2. Add cloned account layout to change set

3. Upload change set

4. In destination sandbox, validate or deploy inbound change set

5. The following error appears:

“In field: excludeButtons, no such standard action:DataDotComCompanyHierarchy” 


* Error has also been reported in custom Person Account Layouts with “In field: excludeButtons, no such standard action:DataDotComCompanyHierarchy” error.

* Error has also been reported in custom Opportunity Page Layouts with "In field: excludeButtons, no such standard action:SendEmail" error
 
 
Resolution To workaround the DataDotComCompanyHierarchy error, please do the following in source sandbox:

1. Click on Setup.

2. Click on Customize.

3. Click on Accounts.

4. Click on Page Layouts.

5. Click "Edit" next to the affected page layout. 

6. In the "Action in the Salesforce1" action bar, click on the "Override the predefined actions" link.

7. Click on the "Salesforce1 Actions" option on the upper left-hand side.

8. Add the "Get Contacts" button into the "Action in the Salesforce1" action bar. (By default, "Get Contacts" button may already be there)

9. Click on Save.

10. Create change set again and upload to destination org.


Some customer’s have reported “In field: excludeButtons, no such standard action:DataDotComCompanyHierarchy” errors when migrating change sets containing custom Person Account layouts. In Winter 16 release, “Salesforce1 and Lightning Experience Actions” doesn’t exist for person account layouts.  Please workaround with the following:

1.  Go to setup

2.  Navigate to “Customize -> Person Account -> Page Layout"

3.  Click on “Edit” for Custom Person Account Layout with problem.

4.  Click on “Buttons”

5.  For button “Get Contacts”, add as Standard button.

6.  Save.

7.  Create new change set, upload, and try to validate.

Some customer’s have reported "In field: excludeButtons, no such standard action:SendEmail" errors when migrating change sets containing custom Opportunity layouts.  To workaround this error, please try the following:

1.  Go to setup

2.  Navigate to “Customize -> Opportunities -> Page Layout

3.  Click on “Edit” for Custom Opportunity Layout with problem.

4.  Click on “Buttons”

5.  For button “Send an Email”, add as Standard button.

6.  Save.

7.  Create new change set, upload, and try to validate.
