Knowledge Article Number 000230695
Description This is in reference to the Pilot program to use Higher Limits with Future methods, for details please see:
https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.apexcode.meta/apexcode/apex_enhanced_future_overview.htm

Salesforce has now included a feature check in a Winter 16 release patch which causes compilation errors if this feature is used without being nominated

For example,

The future method is declared with 'limits' parameter: @future(limits='3xHeap')
This will result in compilation error "Unsupported parameters on @future annotation."
Resolution
  • The 'limits' parameter from the future methods would need to be removed if the organization was not nominated for the Pilot Program to resolve the issue
  • To be nominated for the Pilot program please contact your Customer Success Representative or contact Salesforce Support
