Why am I receiving a password reset prompt when accessing the Salesforce Checkout service?

|Description||When I navigate to Setup > Checkout > Proceed to Checkout I'm presented with a password reset prompt, but my normal password does not work and I'm not able to proceed.
How can I access Checkout?
|Resolution||The Salesforce R&D Team has acknowledged a Known Issue related to the Single Sign-On (SSO) system that can produce this result in a small number of customer users in the Checkout system. Our team is working on a resolution to the issue and in the meantime, a workaround has been provided to Salesforce Support.
