In Service Cloud Console detail page and related lists are not refreshed if a Visualforce page has been used to override the detail page
|Knowledge Article Number||000232988|
|Description||If a Visualforce page has been used to override an object's detail page (e.g. Case's detail page), upon performing certain operations like adding a related record (e.g. Case Comment), the detail page and/or related lists (e.g. Case Comments) are not refreshed. However if I remove the override, the detail page and/or related lists get refreshed.|
|Resolution||In the Service Cloud Console, when a detail page has not been overridden with a Visualforce page, a refresh occurs on performing certain operations such as adding a child record, submitting a record for approval, or inline editing the record.
However, if a Visualforce page (served from the Visualforce domain) is used to override the standard detail page, by design no refresh will occur after performing these operations as the Service Cloud Console (served from the instance or My Domain URL) does not know if the Visualforce page contains unsaved data.
