What is Voice of the Customer Research?
The Voice of the Customer Research Team is a team of passionate individuals committed to representing your voice in the Salesforce vision.  Independent from Marketing and Sales, our job is to listen objectively. Our #1 commitment is to our relationship with you and to continuously work to build your trust.

What does Voice of the Customer Research do?
At Salesforce, we conduct various research to collect feedback from our customers and non-customers about different products and experiences.

What is a Research Panel?
 A research panel is a group of pre-screened respondents who have “opted in” and  expressed a willingness to participate in future research activities. Respondents become "panelists" by completing a 3 minute long profiling questionnaire. The data collected in the profiling questionnaire will helps us better match panelists to upcoming research opportunities. To complete the questionnaire, click here.

What are the research opportunities?
Our research activities can be online or in person during normal business hours. Some examples of the type of research activities we typically conduct are:

  • Surveys
  • Focus groups
  • 1-on-1 interviews

What are the benefits of being a member?
Your feedback will directly impact the future development of our products and services. You have the strong power to impact our company by driving new actions and moving the market. For example, you may be helping us name our next new product or shape the next Dreamforce experience.

How do I sign-up to participate?
In order to join the panel, you’ll need to complete our 3 minute profile questionnaire. Once that is done, you’re in the panel! From there we’ll reach out to you as suitable research opportunities arise.

How will I be contacted about research opportunities?
We will use the information you provide in the profiling questionnaire to match you with studies that seem like they’d be a good fit. We will email you when a suitable opportunity comes up.

How often will you contact me?
It will depend on how often studies are running that match the information from your profile. You can choose to participate as much or as little as you want.

Is participation mandatory to be in the Research Panel?
Not at all. Participation is completely voluntary. You decide which research opportunities you want to sign up for and when. You can also opt-out of the Research Panel at any time.

Do you offer gratuities or incentives to participate in studies?
The gratuity offered will depend on the nature of the study. A request to complete a survey may have an associated sweepstakes with a randomized drawing for a limited number of gift cards. More time intensive studies (such as a phone interview or a usability investigation) may offer gratuities to all who participate. We will tell you about any gratuities offered in advance of your participation in any given study.

Who uses this data?
At Salesforce, trust is our #1 value and we take the protection of our customers’ data very seriously. Your response is combined with many other responses before being shared within Salesforce and remains anonymous. We do not share results outside of our company. Your responses will not be used for neither sales nor for marketing purposes.
