Description

Custom metadata relationships provides additional metadata about objects and lets you make direct comparisons between different custom metadata types.

Like other relationships in Salesforce, custom metadata relationships have a particular domain.

When you create a metadata relationship field on a type, you can relate it to another custom metadata type or the EntityDefinition object.
When you create a record on a custom metadata type that has a relationship field, you can pick the entity definition or custom metadata type that record relates to.

Resolution

Small Alert Icon Contact your Salesforce account executive for information about joining this pilot. To be suitable for this pilot program, you must have an Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited organization. All Developer Edition organizations and Sandboxes will get this feature by default.

If you have trouble contacting your Account Executive, in order to have Salesforce.com Support nominate you for the "Get Even More Meta with Relationship Fields for Custom Metadata Types" Pilot program, take the following steps:

1. Verify that the Organization where you want the feature to be enabled is on an edition where the feature is available(Enterprise, Unlimited or Performance Edition production organization).
2. Have a System Administrator to log a Case with Salesforce Support
3. Please mark as "feature activation" on the General Application Area

Feature requested: Get Even More Meta with Relationship Fields for Custom Metadata Types
Statement identifying you as the admin: I am the system admin in charge of this feature.
Answers the following questions:

1. Why are you a good fit for this pilot program?
2. Who is the main contact for this pilot program? (must be available to provide feedback)
3. Org Ids where feature should be enabled (Navigate to Setup > Company Profile > Company Information)


Once we get all of the requested information our Support Team will review the Case and action as needed.
