Contact fields on Case not visible in Lightning and Community Templates

Description Although Cases are supported in Lightning they don’t have full parity with what’s available in Salesforce Classic.  One limitation you may have noticed is that Case Contact fields (e.g. Contact Email, Contact Phone) do not appear in Lightning although they do in Classic.

The same issue can be seen on Case detail pages within communities using the Napili, Koa and Kokua templates.
Resolution You can hover over the Contact Name field on the Case and see the Contact's Email and Phone.  You can also click on the Contact lookup to be redirected to its detail page.  If you'd like to view the Contact fields directly on the Case layout please upvote the following idea in our Community -
