End of Life for Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant

1. What is the change and when is it planned to happen?
The Setup Assistant for Salesforce Classic, a wizard which helps admins complete basic configuration and import data into Salesforce, will retire on August 18, 2016. After this date, the following changes will take place:
Instead of using the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant, customers can access all the configurations within the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant directly from Salesforce Setup.
2. What will happen after the End of Life date?
After August 18, 2016:
NOTE: Any actions (adding users, setting up sales stages or importing data) made via the Setup Assistant (Lightning Experience or Salesforce Classic version) prior to the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant retirement will not be impacted by this change. After the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant retirement date, customers using Salesforce Classic will need to make further updates through the regular Salesforce setup menu.
3. What action do customers need to take?
In place of the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant, customers using Salesforce Classic should use the regular Salesforce Setup menu to set up their Salesforce environment.

4. Why are we retiring this product or feature?
Instead of maintaining two different Setup Assistant experiences, we are retiring the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant so that we can focus our efforts on enhancing the Lightning Experience customer onboarding experience.
