Custom object related list does not display for Community User on Parent Record when in Communities using Templates

Description For example when you have a custom object called Projects with a lookup relationship to the Accounts object. Even though the Community User has Read access to the Projects object they are not seeing the related list for that Object in their Account even if the list is present on the Page Layout assigned to the user. 

This behavior does not affect Communities using the Classic (Aloha) UI, and is only seen when using a Template using the Community Builder.
Resolution This would indicate that the end user affected by this does not have at least Read access on the Lookup field to the Parent on the affected object. This behavior is unique to Communities using Templates. Setting Read access on the Field Level Security for this Lookup field either on the Profile or via Permission Set should allow the related list to load normally when viewing a Parent Record.
